O concello do Valadouro<\/strong> at\u00f3pase situado no norte da provincia de Lugo e no coraz\u00f3n interior da Mari\u00f1a Lucense. Ten unha superficie de 110km2 e est\u00e1 dividido en 10 parroquias: O Cadram\u00f3n, Frexulfe, Santo Tom\u00e9, Recar\u00e9, Santa Cruz, Ferreira, Alaxe, Vilacampa, Budi\u00e1n e Moucide.<\/p>\n

A nomenclatura do concello d\u00e9bese \u00e1 chegada dos romanos ao val, quenes o denominaron Valle Auris, atra\u00eddos polo ouro e os metais preciosos. Actualmente, O Valadouro conta cun importante patrimonio cultural e art\u00edstico, con recursos singulares como o Dolmen de Santo Tom\u00e9, o Prado das Chantas ou a Capela de Santa Filomena.<\/p>\n

En plena Reserva da Biosfera, destaca a presenza de manadas de cabalos salvaxes, protagonistas cada ano na celebraci\u00f3n da ancestral Rapa das Bestas. Son moitos os paraxes naturais que o visitante pode descubrir neste territorio, como a Fervenza da Torez, a Fervenza do Escouridal, no coraz\u00f3n da Serra do Xistal, ou a ruta dos Pozos que nos levar\u00e1 a co\u00f1ecer o Pozo da Onza.<\/p>\n

A s\u00faa ubicaci\u00f3n privilexiada e unha escasa contaminaci\u00f3n da lugar a productos aut\u00f3ctonos de gran calidade como o mel, a casta\u00f1a, a troita\u2026 que ser\u00e1n exaltados en citas gastron\u00f3micas tan populares como a Feira do Mel.<\/p>\n
